Paneer & Lauki Parantha

Innovations in Paranthas is something I have always adore and have love experimenting. 

Here comes one more try on Paranthas.. :) 


This time it is grated Lauki or Dudhi or Bottlegourd alongwith grated Paneer and more ingredients to make it yummiest !.. 


Tiffin Recipe / Quick Snacks / Dinners and even for kids who just hate to eat Lauki... Great way to include Lauki in their diet without them noticing one.

Preparation Time : 30 minutes 
Cooking Time      : 30 minutes 
Serves                  : 4 

Ingredients : 

  • 2 cup Wheat flour 
  • 1 cup Jowar flour 
  • 1/2 cup of oil to knead dough (you may be using less oil but just keep this much quantity) 
  • 1/2 cup Besan 
  • 2 cups of grated Lauki 
  • Grated Paneer 250 gms (or as per the quanity) 
  • 3 - 4 green chilis grated or cut them into small pieces 
  • 2 tsp of ginger-garlic paste or grated ginger garlic
  • Some coriander leaves 
  • 1/2 tsp sesame seeds (optional) 
  • 1/2 tsp carrom seeds (optional) 
  • Note (you can add all the above seeds or any one of this)  
  • 1/2 tsp of corriander powder 
  • 1/2 tsp of red chili powder 
  • 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder 
  • 1/2 lemon to squeeze 
  • salt to taste 
  • pinch of sugar to taste 
  • Loads of Butter 

How to prepare : 
  • Wash Lauki nicely ,grate and soak in water so it doesnt turn black
  • Grate paneer and keep both aside. 
  • Grate Chilli - GInger - Garlic 
  • In a bowl add wheat flour, jowar flour, besan and mix well
  • Add grated ginger, chili, garlic , lauki after removing from water and paneer and mix well. 
  • Add salt, sugar, turmeric, coriander, chili powder and mix well. 
  • Knead the Paratha dough with 2 spoons of oil, caarrom seeds, sesame seed.s,  1/2 tsp of salt, sugar, corainder leaves and lemon juice.
  • Note : lauki alreaady has a good amount of water so dont add water immediately. 
  • Add water only if required. 
  • Divide kneaded dough into equal 6-8 balls and start rolling it round in form of paratha. 
  • Cook it from both the sides on Nonstick Tawa or Pan while adding a drop of oil or ghee or butter. 
  • Serve hot with ketchups, chutneys, yogurts or Have them with Tea.
