Misal Pav

Misal Pav 


Ingredients :
1 cup boiled white peas
½ cup chana dal or masoor dal (optional).. if adding soak and boil them too.
½ cup coconut powder
1 medium size onion
1 spoon ginger garlic paste (optional)
½ spoon ofoil,
1 spoon of Godwa masala
½ spoon each of turmeric & chilli powder
salt and jaggery to taste
½ lemon to squeeze in gravy

How to Prepare : 

1. Soak White Peas overnight and pressure cook for 3-4 whistles.
2. In a Kadhai or Pan add ½ spoon of oil
3. Add coconut powder and sauté till it turns little brown and you get a nice
aroma of coconut.
4. Add ginger garlic paste and saute.
5. Cut onions into small pieces. and sauté till they turn soft and brown.
6. Add Godva Masala, turmeric powder and chilli powder and sauté till it mixes well.
7. Add the boiled white peas and saute.
8. Add sugar and salt to taste and squeeze a lemon.
9. Add 1 glass of water, mix everything nicely and let it simmer and bring the curry to boil
10. Serve it hot with Pav, Farshan, Lemon, Onion..
