Moong Dal Spinach Pudla

Moong Dal spinach pudla is nutritious, healthy and super delicious pudla made from grinding soaked moong dal.
Quickly made as no fermentation required and loved by kids too.




Ingredients :
1 cup whole moong green gram beans
1/2 cup besan flour
1 tsp semolina
1 cup spinach (roughly chopped)
some grated chili ginger
1 onion (chopped)
1/2 tsp carrom seeds (ajwain)
2 tsp red chili powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp of coriander cumin powder
some oil and butter
How to prepare :
Soak Green Moong Dal overnight and grind into a batter. Add 1/2 cup besan flour, 1 tsp of semolina and mix well. Add little water at a time. Batter consistency should not be too thin.
Add salt, sugar, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander cumin powder, carrom seeds, chopped spinach and onions, grated chili ginger and mix well.
On a nonstick pan add a spoonful of batter, add tsp of oil and cook till brown and crisp from both the ends.
You can make thick or thin pudlas as per your choice and apply some butter on it.
Serve them with sweet mango pickle which goes best with chilas.
Serve hot with tea, cofee
