Simple split moongdal khichdi is healthy and always preferable when you are planning for a simple dinner.
Preparation Time : 10 mins
Cooking Time : 15-20 minutes
Soaking Time : 20 minutes
Serves : 2-4
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup split green moong dal
- 1 cup rice
- 1 tsp of ghee
- 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder
- salt to taste
How to prepare :
- Wash and soak moong and rice for 20 minutes
- Heat a pressure cooker add soaked rice and moong with 1 1/2 glass of water
- add salt, turmeric powder and ghee and mix well.
- Pressure cook khichdi for 4-5 whistles.
- Add more water if you want your khichdi to little liquid.
- Serve it with kadhi and sabzi or milk.
