Green Moong Khicdi

Simple split moongdal khichdi is healthy and always preferable when you are planning for a simple dinner. 

Preparation Time : 10 mins
Cooking Time : 15-20 minutes 
Soaking Time : 20 minutes 
Serves : 2-4 

Ingredients: 

  • 1/2 cup split green moong dal 
  • 1 cup rice 
  • 1 tsp of ghee 
  • 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder 
  • salt to taste 

How to prepare : 

  • Wash and soak moong and rice for 20 minutes 
  • Heat a pressure cooker add soaked rice and moong with 1 1/2 glass of water 
  • add salt, turmeric powder and ghee and mix well. 
  • Pressure cook khichdi for 4-5 whistles. 
  • Add more water if you want your khichdi to little liquid. 
  • Serve it with kadhi and sabzi or milk.
