Preparation Time : 10 minutes
Cooking Time : 15 minutes
Serves : 2-3

Ingredients :
  • 2-3 riped bananas (but they should be little hard then the normal riped banana as we need to fill in the stuffing.
  • 1/2 cup of dry coconut powder
  • some coriander leaves
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp of sugar
  • 1 tsp of red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp of cumin coriander powder
  • 1/2 lemon to squeeze or some lemon juice
  • 2 to 3 tsp of oil
  • 1/t tsp of mustard seeds
  • pinch of asafoetida
How to prepare :

In  a mixing bowl take dry coconut powder, coriander leaves, salt, sugar, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin coriander powder, lemon juice and mix well. add little oil (around 1/2 tsp) and keep aside till the masala is absorbed nicely (approx 10 minutes).

Cut the Banana from middle. Do not remove the skin and slide the banana from middle just one cut and start feeling the masala in it. Fill all the bananas as shown in the picture.

Heat a pan or a kadhai add oil and mustard seeds, asafoetida. Add little turmeric powder. Once they splutter add bananas one by one.

Important point to note : Do not toss the banana again and again. Just toss them once upside down or just till the oil and masala and bananas mix and let it get cooked on a medium high flame for 5-7 minutes as bananas usually dont need anytime to get cooked. If you keep tossing it upside down it may break.
Cover the lid for 5 minutes.

Serve it in a serving bowl and decorate with coriander leaves and some coconut powder.
Have it with rotis or parathas.
